Alliance Insurance PSC is owned 20% by Fairfax. Alliance was established in 1975 and provides a complete range of life and general insurance products and services in the United Arab Emirates region. In 2010, Alliance’s net premiums written were 157.3 million AED (approximately AED 3.7 = US$1). At year-end, the company had shareholders’ equity of 301.1 million AED and there were approximately 140 employees.

Alliance is led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wisam Al-Haimus, who has been with Alliance since 2000.
