Crum & Forster Holdings Corp. (C&F) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fairfax. Based in Morristown, New Jersey, C&F, through its insurance companies, writes commercial property and casualty insurance primarily in the United States, offering a broad range of coverages, including admitted property and casualty, accident & health, specialty and excess and surplus lines as well as credit and political risk transfer. Insurance products and services are offered through the Crum & Forster brand (indicated below), as well as some pet-related products and services through PetPoint, 24 PetWatch, Pet Protect Ltd., and VioVet Ltd. In 2021, C&F's net premiums written were US$2,691.8 million. At year-end, the companies had statutory surplus of US$1,853.3 million and there were over 2,500 employees.
The C&F group of insurance companies include United States Fire Insurance Company, The North River Insurance Company, Crum and Forster Insurance Company, Crum & Forster Indemnity Company, Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company, MTAW Insurance Company, Seneca Insurance Company, Inc., Seneca Specialty Insurance Company, First Mercury Insurance Company, American Underwriters Insurance Company, Crum & Forster SPC, Crum & Forster SPC Reinsurance Company and Monitor Life Insurance Company of New York. The group also includes a service company: Crum & Forster Services India Private Limited; and insurance producers, C&F Insurance Agency, Inc., The Redwoods Group, Inc., DMC Insurance, Inc., Crum & Forster Insurance Brokers, Inc., Travel Insured International, and Bail USA, Inc. Additionally, the Pethealth Inc. organization joined Crum & Forster effective January 1, 2021.
C&F is led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Marc Adee. Marc has been with Fairfax since 2000.
