3. Does Fairfax pay a dividend on its common shares?

In January 2022, Fairfax declared a dividend of US$10.00 per share on its outstanding subordinate voting shares and multiple voting shares. The annual dividend is determined by the Board of Directors each year, taking into account the then current operating results of Fairfax and its insurance and reinsurance companies and the cash position at the Fairfax holding company. Consequently, as each year’s circumstances are different, the dividend should not be regarded as indicative of the amount of future annual dividends.
